Merrychef maintain success with Tesco in the UK

MERRYCHEF MAINTAIN SUCCESS WITH TESCO IN THE UK 

TESCO PLC, one of the World’s leading international retailers, has awarded Merrychef, an Enodis company, a three year Total Care service contract to provide maintenance and aftermarket support to its 800+ mainland UK and Northern Ireland stores.

The contract, worth over £4.5m to Merrychef, covers both preventative maintenance and emergency (breakdown) cover for 6,000 pieces of accelerated cooking equipment installed in Tesco’s Customer Cafes and staff catering facilities.

Merrychef is also to supply over 500 ovens to Tesco stores during the next three years, mainly the popular EC401 model.

Colin Lacey, Merrychef’s Director of Service, said: “There are big challenges ahead but it is an excellent opportunity for us to expand the service support area of our business.”
